Tattoos
Welcome to Moondeer Tattoo, a Eugene based tattoo artist specializing in ornamental, dot work, and fine line tattoos. Cherish and honor the gift of your body by adorning it in beautiful, intentional fine art.

Tattoos hold meaning.
From spontaneous to meditated on for years, tattoos mark a journey, an intention, a moment in time that you’re choosing to adorn your body with. Not only is it important to consider the design, but the energy of the artist you choose to tattoo you. Considerate, compassionate, and grounded, I will respect your vision and foster a safe & inviting environment to make your tattoo dreams come true. Because getting tattooed is more than just a piece of forever body art. It’s also an experience.

I seek to…
add a little bit of magic to everything I do. Getting tattooed and investing in art is a decision of the heart. I hope to add a bit of alchemy to this transformational process.
I believe…
you deserve a safe and comfortable tattoo experience with someone you trust and vibe with. Meet with me for a complimentary consultation to ensure I’m the artist for you.

FAQ
Do you meet with clients before the tattoo appointment? Absolutely! I love meeting with my clients (both new & returning) before booking a tattoo session. This gives us a chance to get to know each other (or catch up), discuss your design vision in person, and answer any questions. We can meet online or in-person.
Do consultations cost anything? The initial tattoo consultation is free. However, if you would like to book a second consultation (for example, to review art work) there is a $25 fee. A $100 deposit is required at the time of your consultation to secure your tattoo appointment.
How long do consultations last? The length of our consultation can range from 10 – 60 minutes depending on several factors such as the detail of the design, placement suggestions, conversation, and more. I typically schedule consultations for an hour.

FAQ
When can I see my design? I will have your tattoo design ready for you the day of your appointment. There will be plenty of time to make any adjustments if necessary before we start your tattoo session. Adjustments will not be charged. A second consultation can be scheduled for a $25 fee if you would like to see your design 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
Do you do group/friendship tattoos? Yes! I love tattooing friend groups, it’s always a fun day.
Do you work with budgets? What is your rate? I will always work with a budget. The consultation is a wonderful time to discuss costs. My hourly rate is $150 and studio minimum is $100.

How can I prepare for my appointment? I recommend getting a good night’s rest and eating a nourishing meal before your tattoo session.
What do you recommend bringing on the day of? I recommend bringing your favorite snacks & non-alcoholic beverages. Something with a little sugar can help ease the body’s adrenaline response but protein is also a wonderful way to go. No worries, if you do forget snacks and drinks, we have a variety of munchies and cold beverages for you
Can you walk me through the day of process? I will greet you when you arrive and get you checked in for your appointment. Please park at the top of the driveway by the window in the garage. After paperwork, we will size and place the tattoo stencil and then we’ll get to tattooing! I want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout your session and am always happy to take a break & assist you to the best of my ability.

How long does it take for my tattoo to heal? Healing time is extremely variable and dependent on many factors including overall health, following specific aftercare instructions, the part of the body that was tattooed, lifework vs. shading/color, and more.
Please note that redness, swelling, and itchiness are all normal stages of the healing process. If you have any questions, please contact me over the Contact Form.
What do you recommend for aftercare? Aftercare instructions can change depending on the type of bandage you receive. I will go over specific aftercare instructions with you verbally at your appointment and will also send you home with a written sheet.
Generally, if you would like a second skin bandage I recommend keeping it on for 3 days after your tattoo. These bandages are water resistant but not water proof. After removing the bandage (warm water and a downward motion can help with this), wash your new tattoo with a non-scented liquid antibacterial soap 2-3 times per day for 2 days.
If you prefer not to have the second skin bandage, I usually suggest removing the plastic bandage 3 hours after our appointment and washing your new tattoo with a non-scented liquid antibacterial soap. Continue to wash your new tattoo 2-3 times per day for 3 days.
After several days, you may experience some itchiness which is completely normal. Do not itch your new tattoo. Keep it moisturized with a water based lotion, a thin layer of coconut oil (reserved for topical use only – not your kitchen coconut oil jar), or a thin layer of my nourishing herbal infused tattoo aftercare salve called Body
What if my tattoo needs a touch up? Is this normal? I guarantee my work and want you to be 100% satisfied with your new body art! Because of this, I offer an initial complimentary touch up. If additional touch ups are needed, there is a small set up fee but no additional charges.
Sometimes touch ups are necessary and this is completely normal. Depending on the placement, more touch ups may be needed (for example fingers & hands). However, I am also human and can occasionally put a line in too light. No biggie, come back in and have me touch it up for free!
